Xinghai Concert Hall is proud to host the 2017 AAPPAC Conference and welcomes all to the centre.

As the city’s largest scale professional music landmark, the Concert Hall’s architectural acoustics design complies strictly with world-class standards. Since its inception in 1998, international artists and audiences have recognised it as “the best concert hall in China” and also as one of the most influential music culture brands in China.

Xinghai Concert Hall aims to make art more extensive and linked to the daily life of people. Square concerts, Sunday music afternoon tea, Huimin popular performance, classical music appreciation lectures, and other concerts and art development activities are introduced so that more people can have access to music. Guangzhou is the capital and most populous city of the province of Guangdong in southern China. Being a sprawling port city northwest of Hong Kong on the Pearl River, it is a leading commercial and industrial city. Many tourists enjoy the mixture of new attractions and old museums/ temples. Chimelong, a huge amusement park is now Mainland China’s number 1 theme park.

Guangzhou’s weather is fairly mild, with plenty of rain and sunshine. Cantonese Cuisine is one of China’s Eight Most Famous Cuisines, and you can find numerous Cantonese restaurants in Guangzhou. Must try dishes includes Tingzai Porridge, Ginger Milk Pudding, Dim Sum, Baiqie Chicken and Special Roasted Suckling Pig.

Aside from Xinghai Concert Hall, delegates will also visit Guangzhou Opera House, designed by Zaha Hadid and opened in 2010 as well as the Grandview Mall Theatre. Optional programmes include sight-seeing tours to Guangzhou Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Memorial Hall, Yuexiu Mountain and Pekin Road Historical Path amongst others.
